In celebration of Christmas which is just around the corner, Oxfam Ambassador Ivana Wong specially designed a gift card for Oxfam Unwrapped featuring her own illustration of a hippopotamus and a piece of corn. Together with her young fan Jasmine, she encourages everyone to visit the Oxfam Unwrapped website (www.oxfamunwrapped.org.hk) to select Christmas gifts that “give twice” – bringing blessings not only to our loved ones but also to poor people in different corners of the world.

Ivana has been Oxfam Ambassador for two consecutive years. This year, she decided to add a personal touch to Oxfam Unwrapped – the hippo on the card is called “Funfun”, she explains. Funfun was born in a poor region that experiences frequent rains and droughts. Yet she and her family are still able to make a living by growing corn. Funfun wishes to remind us that any gift – even a piece of corn – is not too small for those in need. By shopping on the Oxfam Unwrapped website, we can help to end hunger for 870 million people in the world. 

This year, Oxfam Unwrapped offers 19 gifts that serve different people and different needs, with prices ranging from HK$120 to HK$2,700.
