Through a variety of youth and public activities, Oxfam Hong Kong explores poverty from different perspectives, offering immersive experiences that inspire people to reflect on their own roles. Even the smallest action can lead to meaningful change.

Oxfam Young Trailwalker
"Oxfam Trailwalker" is the largest hiking event in Hong Kong, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To pass on the spirit of perseverance, unity, challenge, and empowerment to the new generation, and in alignment with the Education Bureau's 4Rs Mental Health Charter, Oxfam Hong Kong is launching the "Oxfam Young Trailwalker Training Program" in 2025.

Education Project on Working Poverty Awareness 2023-2024
Working & Poverty

This program focuses on the issue of working poverty, helping participants gain a broad understanding of local poverty and the challenges faced by employed individuals living in poverty. Poverty is not only about a lack of money. It also involves insufficient resources and inadequate protection, which may lead to intergenerational poverty.
The program trained 75 students from various secondary schools, equipping them with knowledge about working poverty and guiding them to apply artistic and design thinking. Their ideas were transformed into creative artworks and showcased in a community art exhibition.

Education Project on Climate Poverty Awareness 2022-2023

Climate change affects everyone, but especially vulnerable communities living in poverty. Although they contribute the least to the causes of climate change, they bear the brunt of its harshest consequences. This program trained 20 students from various tertiary institutions to explore the concept of climate justice. Through artistic and design thinking, participants transformed their ideas into creative artworks, which were showcased in a community art exhibition.

Climate change affects everyone, but especially vulnerable communities living in poverty. This programme trained 143 students from six secondary schools to explore the relationship between the climate crisis and poverty. Participants developed their ideas and produced short films to express their insights and reflections.
