Oxfam Trailwalker 2019 cancelled

The safety of our participants and volunteers is of utmost importance to us. In light of recent developments, transportation issues, in order to ensure the safety of over 10,000 participants, support teams and volunteers, and after much deliberation, we have made the extremely difficult decision of cancelling this year’s Oxfam Trailwalker.
In view of this decision, we have made the following arrangements:

  1. Teams’ slots and funds raised will be carried forward to next year’s Oxfam Trailwalker.
  2. The registration fee (HK$1,600) and donations that have already been submitted to Oxfam will be refunded to participants who decide not to take part in next year’s Oxfam Trailwalker.
  3. Participants who have not received their souvenirs yet can arrange a time to collect them.
  4. Refunds can be arranged for those who have bought shuttle bus tickets to Pak Tam Chung.

Further details will be emailed to walkers and posted on the Oxfam Trailwalker website: https://www.oxfamtrailwalker.org.hk

Everyone involved in the Oxfam Trailwalker has always adopted an attitude of perseverance and steadfast determination. We understand that all teams have put a lot of time and effort into training and preparing for the event. Like all of you, we have also been working tirelessly with various parties to prepare for the event to ensure it is run as smoothly and safely as possible. We truly appreciate the time and effort the 10,000 plus participants, volunteers and supporters have put into the event and express our sincere gratitude.

Although we will not be able to meet you all on 15-17 November this year, we hope to see you all next year!

We at Oxfam are deeply and sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused. Should you have any questions, please email us at otwinfo@oxfam.org.hk
