Oxfam Mooncake Campaign 2026 - Macau

Oxfam Mooncake 2026 banner (Macau)

As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, Oxfam in Macau is happy to launch its first "Oxfam Mooncake" Fundraising Campaign. All money raised will help left-behind children who live far away from their parents. The funds will provide them with school supplies, healthy food, and emotional support to help them grow up happily and healthily.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a special time for families to get together. However, many left-behind children cannot reunite with their parents, who work far away in cities. Growing up without their parents is hard, and these children often lack proper education, healthcare, and love. Through this charity sales, Oxfam tends to bring everyone's kindness together to send love and hope to these children.

Support the Improvement of Living Environments for Left-Behind Children

Bringing New Hope to Their Physical and Mental Well-Being

Oxfam:"Even a small improvement in living space ensures that the needs of children are no longer ignored."

12-year-old Xiao Fei is cheerful and outgoing. She seems carefree, yet she faces the quiet struggles of growing up in adolescence. Her father works away from home long-term, while her mother brought her and her younger brothers from the village to study in the county town, renting a place near the school. The rented room is tiny, and the siblings had to sleep together in one single bed. As the eldest child, she always felt she had to yield to her two younger brothers. Upon entering adolescence, Xiao Fei needs a private space of her own, but her family’s financial situation made this impossible. Long-term spatial confinement and family expectations led this thoughtful girl to suppress her emotions and hide her pain, leaving her personal feelings and psychological needs overlooked for a long time.

With the support of the Oxfam project, targeted improvements were made to Xiao Fei's family living environment, finally giving a private space of her own.

This change is not merely an optimization of her living conditions, but a precise safeguarding of a teenager's psychological needs. Having a dedicated space has allowed Xiao Fei to leave behind the cramped, stifling conditions she had long endured. She can now attend to her own needs and hold her personal boundaries. She is no longer just the elder sister who always gives way to her brothers, but a young girl growing up seen and respected in her own right. Through small but meaningful spatial changes, the project warmly safeguards the physical and mental well-being of children in adolescence, helping them grow up with confidence and ease.
