Smallholder farmers grow our food but are among the most threatened by hunger. The main reason is that climate change is causing more frequent extreme weather — floods, droughts and storms are becoming increasingly common. Your support will help vulnerable farming families regain their livelihoods!
- Volunteers must be Macau residents or holding valid Macau residency documents: Macau ID card or Macau work/study visa. (Applicants who hold a Hong Kong ID and enter Macau as tourists are not eligible.)
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by a family member or guardian to participate in this event.
- Service date, time and district will be allotted according to your preference. Oxfam in Macau reserves the right to make alternative arrangements if necessary.
- Children must be accompanied by family or friends to take part in the “Oxfam Rice Event” — outdoor vending is not recommended for children aged three or under.
- Those volunteers who have registered for the “Oxfam Rice Event 2026” will be notified in Early May with final event arrangements.
- An e-volunteer certificate will be sent to every participating volunteer.
