SENIOR fundraising OFFICER (2-year contract, renewable)
The Senior Fundraising Officer is responsible for enhancing major giving initiatives to increase donor contributions, loyalty, and engagement in Oxfam’s developmental efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy focused on major giving, with an emphasis on corporate partnerships, foundation support, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
- Execute targeted strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major giving prospects, ensuring a robust pipeline of potential donors.
- Craft compelling fundraising proposals and presentations tailored to donor interests, facilitating opportunities for project and event sponsorship.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective major donors through personalized communications, meetings, and events. Ensure consistent and effective reporting on the impact of OHK’s work to enhance donor engagement.
- Research and analyze market trends in charitable giving, actively exploring innovative fundraising initiatives and channels to diversify revenue streams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing or relevant disciplines with at least 8 years charitable fundraising or marketing experience, preferably at NGO/INGO setting. Candidate with less experience may be considered for the post of Fundraising Officer.
- Proven track record in securing major gift fundings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability in networking and relationship building.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and experienced in interacting with senior executives.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to prioritize workload in a timely manner to complete the tasks.
- High level proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
- Familiar with the latest fundraising market.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
