project officer (2-year contract, renewable)
The Project Officer is responsible for the planning and implementation of the school fundraising and public engagement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and promotes school fundraising and public engagement projects, events and activities (i.e. school workshops, Oxfam Trailwalker for School) for various stakeholders, including schools, parent-child and public.
- Develops and coordinates marketing and fundraising strategies that integrates education programmes, fundraising campaigns and public engagement in order to develop supporters’ journey and raise fund in education sector.
- Liaises and works closely with schools, educational institutions and community groups on projects.
- Actively pursues new revenue and engagement opportunities to expand the network, as well as school and public engagement.
- Promotes the projects through offline and online channels including social media, eDM, website etc.
- Supports the implementation of interactive education programmes and / or funding projects for underprivileged groups, schools, parent-child, youth and corporates;
- Supports the development of learning & teaching materials.
- Produces high-quality deliverables and communicate the work impacts to external stakeholders including public, schools and organisations.
- Undertakes other functions as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience on education / social services / marketing / communications sector. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Project Officer II.
- Solid and strong project and event management and execution experience.
- Understand of the formal education system with experience in education programme;
- Experience in online and digital initiative is preferred, including HTML programme knowledge, multi-media content management;
- Organised and systematic, able to coordinate and work with others, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and outgoing personality.
- Strong problem-solving and ability to be flexible, can work independently and multi-task, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Experience with design and editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, video editing etc. is a plus.
- Able to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as required.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
