senior fundraising MANAGER - ACQUISITION & RETENTION (2-year contract, Renewable)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Unit Director in developing overall fundraising strategy, driving forward new initiatives; and also, in the area of relationship fundraising with a focus on retention and development in order to maximize donor engagement and lifetime value; and work with other fundraising teams to ensure fundraising growth.
- Lead and manage all donor acquisition appeals’ initiatives/activities, explore new income streams, and keep improving existing fundraising operations’ effectiveness, such as face-to-face monthly donor recruitment (Roadshow) activities, events based monthly recruitment activities and explore and build other forms of monthly donation recruitment.
- Maintain the fundraising base, develop plans, tactics, and actions to increase donor loyalty, render excellent donor service, cultivate donor commitment through effective donor communications and reporting.
- Get acquainted with the agency’s Donor Data System for donor information, extraction, and analysis. Formulate segmentation strategies to facilitate up-grade and one-off donations and minimize drop-out; take remedial action before lapse and revive lapsed donors through proactive reactivation strategies.
- Develop agency guidelines for fundraising, internal budget/reporting coordination and reporting to Oxfam International, assist in reviewing target achievement and reporting to Council and Committees, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management or relevant disciplines is a clear advantage.
- With at least 15 years’ relevant experience in fundraising, business development and marketing in which a minimum of 8 years in managerial grade.
- High degree of initiative and commitment to income growth and goal attainments.
- Proven track record in securing corporate sponsorship and funding.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with senior executives and business leaders.
- Proficiency in MS office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
