Fundraising officer - EVENTS (2-year contract, Renewable)
Responsibilities:
- To plan, implement, evaluate and document the fundraising events/activities delegated to her/him.
- To monitor the cost of the fundraising events/activities and to maintain proper records for future reference.
- To revise/create action plans and budget of the fundraising events/activities under her/his responsibility; recruit and service sponsors, participants and volunteers; plan and implement logistical arrangements; coordinate IT and promotional matters; and document lessons learnt for fundraising events/activities.
- To recruit service participants and volunteers and to arrange logistics for fundraising events/activities.
- To coordinate with vendors and teams in the Agency for a smooth operation of fundraising events/activities.
- To perform additional tasks and assignments as requested by the Fundraising Manager - Events.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with solid experience in events, fundraising or marketing.
- With more than five years’ experience in organizing large scale and complex event at supervisory level
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Fundraising Officer II - Events.
- Able to meet schedules and deadlines with determination, attentive to details, able to handle multi-tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent in communication and interpersonal skill; inclined to appreciate others’ perspective and able to coordinate the best possible compromise.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
- Experience in Oxfam Trailwalker is highly desirable.
- Immediate available is highly preferable.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
